The docudrama «Meine Tochter Anne Frank», starring Mala Emde as Anne Frank and Götz Schubert as her father, Otto, was broadcast on the Das Erste channel in February this year. The 2014 film uses feature scenes and interviews with her contemporaries to tell the story of the short life of Anne Frank. "A moving film, a soothing and calm film, a triumph of gentle remembrance rather than a pompous commemoration." These were the words the jury of the 27th Baden-Baden TV Film Festival in late November 2015 to explain why they awarded the Teleplay Award to Meine Tochter Anne Frank. The film was directed by Raymond Ley, produced by AVE Gesellschaft für Fernsehproduktion in cooperation with Hessischer Rundfunk, WDR and rbb; hr-Filmförderung also provided financial support for the film.
