Committed to this principle, the Anne Frank Fonds works towards strengthening human rights, in particular the rights of children and women, and towards promoting social justice.

Protection of copyrights and personal rights of Anne Frank and her family


The Anne Frank Fonds represents the Frank family. It administers the rights, «inter alia», to the writings of Anne and Otto Frank and to the letters of the Frank family. It is the owner of the rights to translations, editions, compilations, and authorised books about Anne Frank and her family.

Dissemination of the diary


The Anne Frank Fonds is, in cooperation with publishing houses and producers around the world, responsible for the publication of the Diary and the writings of Anne Frank and ensures the overall commercial availability of good translations of these works. It is committed to relaying the texts through modern adaptations for theatre, film and other genres that remain true to the original.

Charitable foundation


The Anne Frank Fonds uses the income from granting rights and licences for educational concerns and charitable purposes. It uses the funds for further promoting the Diary and its message and welcomes any scientific debate associated with the Diary. You will find all the important information about possible grants here.
