UNICEF Switzerland and the Anne Frank Fonds Basel focus on the Convention of the Rights of the Child.

UNICEF Switzerland and the Anne Frank Fonds Basel (AFF) have entered into a global partnership. From the outset, the two organisations have focussed on the Convention of the Rights of the Child in schools and book markets for young readers around the world. This is also reflected in an information page on this topic in the Diary of Anne Frank: “Children have rights”. The AFF has been committed to the rights of children, education, and the relief of suffering for fifty years now. In future, a considerable proportion of income from the sale of the Diary of Anne Frank and other AFF income will go to UNICEF. Millions of children throughout the world are still victims of armed conflicts. In war and as refugees, they are injured or killed, are separated from their families, and become witnesses to violence. For many of them, attending school becomes just a distant dream. However, education is the key to both the personal development of a child and the social and economic development of an entire country.
